Donald Edward Martin, 90, of Buffalo Twp. passed away November 5, 2024. Don was born March 28, 1934 in Philadelphia, PA, a son of the late Howard W. and Beatrice (Redfield) Martin. He was a US Army veteran, 101st Airborne. He was a former member of Evangel Hgts. Assembly, Sarver, PA. Don was a local driver for Roadway Express, retiring after 28 years and having achieved over 1 million miles of safe driving for the company. As a young man Don enjoyed riding motorcycles, driving his prized ’58 Corvette, and racing his stock car at the local tracks. In recent years he liked watching NASCAR and also enjoyed Penn State, Alabama and Steelers football.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, David William “Bill” Martin, Milwaukee, Wisc., brother Howard “Marty” Martin, Phoenix, Arizona, sister, Betty Seiling, Pittsburgh, PA, step-son Greg Raw, and sons-in-laws Thomas Bach and Ronald Woshner. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Judy, his brother Robert Martin (Kathi) of Evans City, PA, his sister-in-law Norma Martin, Milwaukee, Wisc., a daughter Lynne Bach, Erie, PA, son Scott Martin (Michelle), Wooster, Ohio, daughter Suzan Woshner, Ben Avon, PA, step-daughter Cindy Lydick (Edward), Natrona Hgts., PA, 9 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 1 step-great-grandson. He is also survived by a niece and nephews.
As per Don’s wishes, there will be no public viewing. He will be laid to rest in The National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville, PA.
