Donald K. Rummel

Donald K. Rummel, 87, formerly of Brackenridge, passed away Thursday, December 18, 2025, at home surrounded by his family. He was born August 13, 1938 in Harrison Township, to the late Daniel G. and Margaret H. (Simmers) Rummel. Donald has lived the past 4 years in Tarentum and prior to those 52 years in Brackenridge. He was a printer for the Valley News for 40 years. Donald was a Vietnam veteran serving in the US Army. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Brackenridge , Valley News Retirement club and the Men’s Fellowship at Trinity United Methodist Church. Donald graduated from Tarentum High School in 1956 and enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, was a sports fan, Pittsburgh sports, Steelers, Pirates and Penguins.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Linda Lee (Anderson) Rummel; children Ann M. Rummel, of Tarentum and Kevin P. (Rhonda) Rummel, of Upper St. Clair; grandchildren Kaelyn G. Rummel, of Upper St. Clair, Gerald Rummel, of Tarentum, Richard (Sue) Rummel, of Flag Staff, AZ, Beverly Carnathan, of Cabot and David Rummel, of Fawn Township.
