Donna J. Mell

Donna J. Mell, 73, of Natrona Heights, passed away Thursday, June 16, 2022 at Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights. She was born February 9, 1949 in Milwaukee, WI to the late Raymond Black and Nancy (Pond) Petracca. Donna lived most of her life in Natrona Heights and was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. She was a medical assistant for 20 years at East Suburban OB Gyn Associates in Monroeville. Donna graduated in 1967 from Har Brack High School and enjoyed gardening, crocheting, puzzles, reading, word searches and watching Law and Order. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family, children and her grandchildren.

            Survivors include her daughters, Tammy L. Mell, of Natrona Heights and Terri L. Galvach and David Sowinski, of Plum Boro. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Brooke Rutkowski, twins Samantha and Allie Galvach, Skylar Labonte and Simon Hinton. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter Tonya M. Shrum in 2021, brother Douglas Black and step father Victor Petracca.
