Donna J. Shaffer

Donna J. Shaffer, 90, formerly of Natrona Heights, passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights following a lengthy illness. She was born September 6, 1932 in Cadogan, Armstrong County to the late James and Mabel (Davis) Jones. Donna lived the past 5 years in Tarentum and prior to that Natrona Heights. She was a homemaker and formerly worked as a Real Estate Agent for Market Place Realty in Freeport for 20 years. Donna was of the Baptist faith and a member of the Brackenridge Legion Auxiliary and Red Hat Society. She graduated in 1951 from Tarentum High School and was an avid card player, belonging to 3 card clubs. Donna enjoyed spending time with her family, children, grandchildren and  great grandchildren.

            Survivors include her children, Donna M. (Leonard F.) Pruszynski, of O’Hara Twp., Richard L. (Diane) Shaffer, of Brackenridge, Kurt O. (Kathy) Shaffer, of Natrona Heights, Matt E. Shaffer, of Brackenridge and Sandra B. (John M. ) Selzer, of Mullica Hill, NJ. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Richard C. Shaffer in 1996; a brother James Jones and sister Virginia Howe.
