Doris B. Deringer,96 formerly of Brackenridge passed away Sunday,June 5th,2022. She was born August 21, 1925 in Tarentum a daughter of the late William and Margaret (McGrath) Brown, and was married to the late Henry H. Deringer who passed away March 1, 1995.
Surviving daughters are Karen (Sean) Ferris of Penn Hills, Joyce Negley of Natrona Heights with whom she made her home, and son-in-law Timothy Hindley of Butler.
She is survived by 8 grandchildren, 7 Great grandchildren, 2 sisters-in-law’s Yvonne Brown of Tarentum,and Maureen Deringer of Pittsburgh: one Aunt Barbara McGrath of Rhode Island and several cousins, Nieces,and Nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Janet (Jan Rutkoski) Hindley, brother William Brown, sister Betty Coriale,and son-in-law William “Jim” Negley.
Doris enjoyed cooking, baking, and all Pittsburgh sports. She graduated from Tarentum High School in 1943 and she was employed at PPG Duplate office in Creighton and Del’s Custard in Natrona Heights.
Doris was a member of Guardian Angels Parish, Most Blessed Sacrament Church,Natrona Heights
Visitation will be Tuesday 2-4 & 6-8 PM in the Duster Funeral Home,Inc. 347 East 10th Avenue,Tarentum 15084 724-224-1526. A Christian Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 AM in Most Blessed Sacrament Church. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart -St. Peter’s Cemetery Tarentum.
