Dorothy M. Dorn

Dorothy M. Dorn, 87, of Natrona, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, May 18, 2018.  She was born October 28, 1930 in Harrison Township to the late Ralph and Margaret (Wilinski) Painter. Dorothy was a proud mother of 10 children and devoted her life to homemaking and raising her family. Dorothy always saw the best in people. She was blessed with a loving heart and contagious smile that gave her the ability to make everyone who crossed her path feel loved and special with her kind words. In her younger years, she enjoyed bingo, weekend trips and flea marketing with her husband. Recently, she enjoyed feeding birds and listening to music, but her favorite thing was family visits around the kitchen table while enjoying a good hamburger. She also loved cheering for the Steelers, Pens and Pirates with Peggy by her side. Dorothy was the glue that held her family together. Mom, you are our sunshine and you will be forever loved and missed by each and everyone one of us.

            Survivors include her children, Lynda Jarzynka, Penn Hills, Thomas Dorn, Natrona Heights, Donna Wissinger, Sarver, Ronald (Debbie) Dorn, Dallas, GA, Tammy (Greg) Bowser, Natrona Heights, Margaret “Peggy” Tellez, Natrona, Rita (Terry) Irwin, Natrona Heights, Donald Dorn, Burt, NY and 19 grandchildren. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Robert Dorn, two daughters Patricia Jones and Roberta Dorn, great grandson Ryan Miley and a brother Ralph Painter.

            Visitation 5-8 PM Monday in the Duster Funeral Home, Inc. 347 E 10^th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526. Christian funeral mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 am in St. Ladislaus Church, Natrona. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. Private family burial in Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights.
