Dorothy M. McGrath

Dorothy M. McGrath, 94, formerly of Brackenridge, passed away Sunday, June 3, 2018 at St. John’s Sr. Specialty Care, Mars where she was a resident 3 years. She was born May 21, 1924 in Harrison Township to the late Arthur and Edna (Koedel) Gamble. Dorothy lived 35 years in Buffalo Township and prior to that Brackenridge. She was a cafeteria worker for the Highlands School District for 20 years. Dorothy was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Natrona Heights and a 1942 graduate of Tarentum High School. Dorothy enjoyed crocheting, crafts and was an avid bingo player.

            Survivors include her children Jerry R. (Diana C.) McGrath Brackenridge, Henry J. “Butch”(Nanette) McGrath, Jr., Myrtle Beach, SC and Pamela A. (Raymond) Newell, Jr., Buffalo Twp.; grandchildren Henry J. (Victoria) McGrath, III, Scott (Darla) McGrath, Christopher McGrath and Bobbi McWilliams, Brandi Newell, Michael (Marcie) Newell, Jamie Rae (Francis )Pugliese, Jr. and Jerry R. (Leanna) McGrath, Jr.; two great grandchildren William McGrath and Vionno Pugliese and 2 great great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Henry J. McGrath.

            Visitation 5-8 PM Wednesday in the Duster Funeral Home, Inc. 347 E 10^th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526 where Services will be held on Thursday at 11AM with Pastor R.
