Edward H. Iwanski, 91, of Tarentum, passed away Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights. He was born July 15, 1926 in Brackenridge to the late Walter and Stella (Zbrzyzny) Iwanski. Edward lived most of his life in Tarentum where he was a Crane man for PPG Industries in Creighton. He was a member of Holy Martyrs Church, Tarentum and the Brackenridge American Legion. Edward enjoyed fishing, going to his camp near Kittanning and was an avid sports fan.
Survivors include his siblings, Stanley Iwanski, Saxonburg, Donald Sydlik, Richmond, VA and Carol Dymkoski, Natrona. Also surviving are his nieces and nephews, Laurie (Theodore) Kevana, East Deer Twp., Edward (Kathy) Hyp, Irwin, Todd Sydlik, Smithfield, VA, David (Diane) Sydlik, Double Oak,TX, Pam (Al) Koprivnikar, Springdale, Dawn (Paul) Beam and Mark (Chris) Dymkoski, both of Natrona Heights. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years Mary (Petrak) Iwanski; Brothers Leonard Iwanski and Henry Sydlik and Sisters Mary Olszawski, Kaye Hyp and Betty Christy Toth.
Visitation 2-4 and 6-8 PM Monday in the Duster Funeral Home, Inc. 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526 where a prayer service will be held on Tuesday at 10:30 am followed by a Christian Funeral Mass at 11 AM in Holy Martyrs Church, Tarentum with his pastor Rev. Thomas L. Gillespie, MD, officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart- St. Peter Cemetery, Tarentum with Military honors.
