Edward B. Santi, 83, Lower Burrell and formerly of Fawn Twp., passed away Saturday, January 05, 2019 at home, peacefully surrounded by his family. He was born October 24, 1935 in Ford City to the late Michael Santi and Josephine (Wagner) Santi, Tardy. Edward has lived the past 3 years in Lower Burrell and prior to that most of life in Fawn. He was owner of Bonway Auto body repair in Fawn Twp. for 58 years. He was a veteran of the US Army and a member of St. Margaret Mary Roman Catholic Church, Lower Burrell and a former member of Holy Martyrs Church, Tarentum. He was also a member of New Kensington Masonic Lodge 644 and Shrine. He was also a member of the New Kensington VFW. Edward enjoyed snow mobiling and bowling, and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He loved working around the house but especially enjoyed spending time with his family, children and grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Carolyn M. (Paulsen) Santi; sons David E. (Elise) Santi and Raymond F. Santi, grandchildren Ian and Blaine Santi and Rebecca Santi all of Natrona Heights. Also surviving is step daughter Michele (Paul) Hutz, and step grandchild Alexander Hutz of Eden, NY, and Stepson Brian (Ann Marie) Ambor,Rochester,NY. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy (Kolen) Santi in 1970 and 4 brothers John, George, Frank and Charles Santi.
Visitation 2-4 and 6-8 PM Monday in the Duster Funeral Home, Inc. 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526. Christian funeral mass will be celebrated Tuesday in St. Margaret Mary Roman Catholic Church, Lower Burrell at 11:30 AM with his pastor Rev. Kenneth G. Zaccagnini, officiating. Burial will be in Our Lady of Hope Cemetery, Frazer Twp. with military honors. Masonic service in the funeral home Monday at 7PM.
