Edward D. Wolfe

Edward D. Wolfe, 68, of Brackenridge, passed away at home on Monday, April 19, 2021. He was born December 9, 1952 in Natrona Heights to the late James E. and Margaret (Mello) Wolfe. Edward lived most of his life in Brackenridge. He was a Heavy Equipment Operator for Harsco for 30 plus years. He was of the Catholic faith and a member of multiple social clubs where he enjoyed his friends and playing euchre. Edward graduated in 1972 from Highlands High School and coached little league baseball for Tar Brack, played football for Lower Burrell youth league and never missed his sons ball games. Edward enjoyed camping and beach vacations with his family, teaching all his grandchildren to fish. He was a Pittsburgh sports fan and an avid bird watcher.

            Survivors include his wife of 51 years Sandra J. (Flynn) Wolfe; his sons Edward D. (Tammy) Wolfe, Jr., of Brackenridge and Daniel F. (Brittney) Wolfe, of Leechburg; grandchildren Thomas (Alyssa) Wolfe and soon to be great granddaughter Cora, of Cheswick, Angel Wolfe, of New Kensington, Daniel J. Wolfe, of Apollo and Jeszen Montoya and Zoey Wolfe, of Leechburg, Marlin Stiffey and Renea Sadecky. Great grandchildren Alyssa, Hanna and Makayla Sadecky and Miranda, Jordan and Olivia Stiffey. Also surviving are his sisters, Joan Derringer, of NJ, Joan Hetrick and Linda Stout, of Natrona Heights, Rose (Fred) Carter, of Lower Burrell and Peggy (John) Ladik, of Vandergrift; sister-in-law Polly Okopal, of Reno, NV; 11 nieces and nephews, 17 great nieces and nephews and his 4-legged friend Neko. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his niece Jodie Finley, daughter-in-law Angelika Wolfe and brothers-in-law Regis Derringer and Lester Hetrick and grandson Zack Sadecky.

            A private family visitation was held Wednesday in the Duster Funeral Home,Inc. 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526. Burial was private in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell. Family suggests contributions be made in Edward’s memory to Audubon Society of Western PA, 614 Dorseyville Rd, Pgh., PA 15238. VISIT: dusterfh.com
