Eileen Geahry

It’s with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our family Matriarch Eileen Geahry, 93 of Tarentum on Monday, May 19, 2025. Eileen was born August 6, 1931 to the late Ralph and Dorabelle (Ross) Sims. Eileen lived most of her life in Tarentum. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Eileen enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, 1000-piece jig saw puzzles that she would finish in two days, crossword puzzles, playing double or triple solitaire with family around the table and playing Carrom/Crokinoles with the grandkids who swear Grandma’s shooter had a steering wheel on it!

Survivors include her children, Kathie (Calvin) Phillipo, of Ft. Worth, TX, William Geahry, of Tarentum, Jeff (Josephine) Geahry, of Arlington, TX, Sue (Randall) Hudson, of Arnold and Barb (Doug) Krebs, of Lower Burrell. Grandchildren Becca, Stephen, Patrick, Shannon, Matthew, Nicholas, Victoria, Caitlin and Jeremiah and great grandmother to Baylee and Lucian. Also surviving are her siblings Robert Sims, of Tarentum and Carol Licata, of Lower Burrell. Eileen was preceded in death by her husband Henry Geahry, brothers Ralph Jr., Richard, William and James Sims and sisters Connie Baker, Audrey Wilson and Betty Jane Boda.

A private family visitation will be held 4-7 PM Tuesday in Duster Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526. Private family graveside services will be held in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell. VISIT: dusterfh.com
