Eileen (Demma) Reckhart

We share with sadness, that Eileen (Demma) Reckhart, 89, of Cabot, PA and formerly of Tarentum, Natrona Heights and Lower Burrell, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 14, 2026 at Concordia at Cabot. She was born December 15, 1936, daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Gardina) Demma and was the wife of the late Ronald Reckhart.

Eileen and Ronald were married at Trinity United Methodist Church of Brackenridge in 1969 and shared many years of happiness together until his death in 2022.

Eileen worked during her lifetime starting at Saul’s Army Store in Tarentum at the age of 13 and worked here after school each day and on Saturdays in their office as a clerk and secretary until graduating from Tarentum High School class of 1954. Then was employed by Borough of Tarentum in Electric and Water Department offices as clerk and secretary from 1954 to 1969. In later years she worked as Church Secretary at Trinity United Methodist Church until retiring after 20 years of employment there in 2010.

Eileen and husband, Ron, ran the Greater New Kensington Area Tennis Tournament from 1975-1989 abd were avid fans of the Pittsburgh Penguins, and were members of Trinity United Methodist Church.

Eileen is survived by her cousins, Joanne (Silvestor) Nicastro and their family, Linda (William) Wareham and their family, and special family friends Robert Lance and William (Barbara) Wood.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 18, 2026 from 5-8 PM in Duster Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526 where services will be held on Friday at 11 AM. Burial will follow in Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Eileen’s name to Concordia Lutheran Ministries, Good Samaritan Fund, 134 Marwood Rd.
