Elizabeth J. “Sis” Jentgens, 105, of Frazer Twp., passed away Friday July 2, 2021 at the home of her sister. She was born February 26, 1916 in Tarentum to the late Joseph and Alma (Gordon) Jentgens. Sis has lived the past year in Frazer Township and prior to that Blawnox for 45 plus years and Pittsburgh. She was an Administrative Assistant for ALCOA Corp., in Pittsburgh for 45 years and retired in 1981. She was a member of Guardian Angels Parish, Holy Martyrs Church, Tarentum and a 1934 graduate of Tarentum High School. Sis enjoyed travelling, bingo and especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
Survivors include her sister with whom she made her home the past year, Mary Ellen Kuniak, of Frazer Township. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and 2 great great nieces and 1 great great nephew. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Joseph Jentgens, and 2 sisters Dorothy Hewitt and Alma “Honey” Guido.
There will be no public visitation, however family and friends are invited to attend a Christian Funeral Mass, Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at 10 AM in Holy Martyrs Church, Tarentum. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. Burial will be in Our Lady of Hope Cemetery, Frazer Twp. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to Holy Martyrs Church, Tarentum.
