Elizabeth E. (Mokry) Jumper

Elizabeth “Betty” (Mokry) Jumper, 95, of Titusville, Florida, passed away Monday, October 22, 2018, at Vista Manor of Titusville, FL where she had been a resident the past 4 years. Betty was born July 1, 1923, in Tarentum, PA to the late John V. and Mary T. (Krajci) Mokry. She attended St. Clement Church and Parochial school, and graduated from Tarentum High School in 1942. After working for several years at Allegheny Ludlum Steel Corporation in Brackenridge, she moved to Cleveland, Ohio in 1946. During her 21 years in Cleveland, she worked first in the Personnel department at Higbee’s Department Store and subsequently as an executive secretary at The Sherwin-Williams Company headquarters. Betty returned to Natrona Heights in 1967 and worked as a secretary for 20 years at The Krutz Agency. She was a long-time member of Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Natrona Heights. In 2004, she moved to Titusville, FL with her daughter and son-in-law, and became a member of St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church in Titusville. She enjoyed reading, yard work, and crossword puzzles.

Surviving are her daughter Terri (Ken) Poppell of Titusville, FL; granddaughter Dana Poppell of Pembroke Pines, FL, and grandson Matthew Poppell, of Tampa, FL; niece Anne Sikora, nephew Frank Sikora, and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl W. Jumper, in 1962, sisters, Eleanor (Jacob) Mueck in 2006, Margaret (Edward) Sikora in 2017, and infant sister Marie Mokry, who died in 1918.

Visitation 3-7 Monday and from 8:30 to 9:30 Tuesday in the DUSTER FUNERAL HOME INC, 347 E 10^th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526. Christian Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 AM in Most Blessed Sacrament Church, Natrona Heights. Burial in Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights.
