Esther M. (Milbert) Dietrick, 90, of Cheswick, passed away Sunday, August 5, 2018 at Family Hospice and Palliative Care, Pittsburgh. She was born December 3, 1927 in Ross Township, to the late Richard P. and Louise C. (Fischer) Milbert. Esther previously lived in Cranberry Twp. and Tarentum and has lived the past 28 years in Cheswick. She was an Assignment Clerk and Operator for Bell Telephone in the Western Pennsylvania area for 36 years before retiring in 1982. A member of St. Alphonsus Church, Springdale, Ft. Pitt Chapter Pioneers of Bell Telephone and the former St. Alphonsus Bowling league. Esther enjoyed bowling, baking and gardening.
Survivors include her siblings, William (Marie) Milbert, Evans City, Kathleen Steep, Zelienople and Paul (Judith) Milbert, Valencia; step daughter Barbara Ann Grabigel, Tarentum; 3 step grandchildren, 3 step great grandchildren and 2 step great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews also survive. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Dale D. Dietrick; and siblings Rosanna Polignano, Lawrence, Ralph and Herbert Milbert.
Visitation 4-8 PM Wednesday in the Duster Funeral Home, Inc. 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526. Christian funeral mass will be celebrated Thursday at 10 AM in St. Alphonsus Church, Springdale with Rev. Kenneth Kezmarsky, officiating. Entombment in Lakewood Memorial Gardens, Indiana Twp.
