Eugene “Gene” Trenski, 79, of O’Hara Township, passed away from the effects of Agent Orange, Friday, June 19, 2026 at VA Hospital, Aspinwall. He was born May 15, 1947 in Brackenridge, son of the late Stanley P. and Mary Ann (Sadowski) Trenski. Gene worked in the Tarentum Post Office 25 years. He was a veteran of the US Army serving in Vietnam. Gene was a member of Guardian Angels Parish, Most Blessed Sacrament Campus, Natrona Heights; Brackenridge American Legion and the Oregon Club. Gene was also in the Sacred Heart St Peter’s Church choir for 21 years and helped with the church fairs and parish council. Gene loved to sing and dance and especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Rosemary (Demma) Trenski; his son Jonathan (Samantha) Trenski. Gene is also survived by his brother Michael (Sally) Trenski, of Florida, Brother-in-law Ed Szymkowiak, of New Mexico, sister-in-law Joan Demma, of CO and Charlotte Sypula, of Washington, PA and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by sister Connie Szymkowiak, brother and sister-in-law Richard (Sheila) Trenski, brother Stanley Trenski, brother and sister-in-law Ed (Marie) Trenski, brother-in-law Thomas Sypula and nephew Tommy Sypula.
Visitation 4-7 PM Friday in Duster Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526. Military honors will be on Saturday at 11:30 AM in the funeral home, followed by a Christian Funeral Mass at Blessed Sacrament Church, Natrona Heights at 12:30 PM. Private burial will be in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township. The Oregon club will meet in the funeral home, Friday at 6:30 Pm for services.
