Evelyn N. (Smith) Fleming, 88, formerly of Natrona Heights, and currently of Greenville, SC, passed away Monday, January 15, 2018 at The Gardens at Eastside Assisted Living, Greenville, SC. She was born April 16, 1929 in Kane, PA to the late John and Rose (Mellon) Smith. Evelyn resided in Creighton, but spent most of her life in Natrona Heights. Evelyn was of the Catholic faith and was a Registered Surgical Nurse, and worked on staff at Citizens General Hospital, Allegheny Valley Hospital, and St. Margaret Hospital. She was also a volunteer for Citizens General Hospital Auxiliary and Community Library of Allegheny Valley for several years. Evelyn graduated from East Deer High School in 1946 and Allegheny Valley Hospital School of Nursing in 1949.
Survivors include her children Roseann (Robert) Dufala, Greenville, SC and John H. Fleming, Kittanning. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren and 3 great granddaughters. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Herbert G. Fleming in 2014; son C. Arthur Fleming, and a brother Ernest Smith.
