Floyd R. Collins, Sr., 90, formerly of Natrona Heights, passed away Thursday January 11, 2024 at Transitions Healthcare Autumn Grove. He was born June 7, 1933 in Tarentum to the late Joseph A. and Catherine (Kindler) Collins. Floyd lived most of his life in Natrona Heights and Tarentum. He was an Assistant Cashier and Manager, Southwest Bank, Brackenridge for 20 years, retiring in 1989. Floyd was a veteran of the Korean conflict serving in the US Air Force. He was a member of Guardian Angels Parish, Most Blessed Sacrament Campus, Natrona Heights, life member Knights of Columbus, Natrona Council, where he was former Grand Knight and was very active; Life member Air Force Sergeants Association, Disabled American Veterans, Arnold, Natrona American Legion and Natrona Heights VFW. Floyd graduated from East Deer Frazer High School and New Kensington Commercial School. Floyd enjoyed traveling, crafts, art work, golfing, hunting and fishing. He especially enjoyed his family.
Survivors include his sons, F. Robert (Cynthia) Collins, of North Huntingdon, Timothy E. (Joyce) Collins, of Freedom and Joseph C. (Darla) Collins, of Clarion; grandchildren Michael (Casey) Collins, Kristin Ciara Collins, Marina K. Collins, Mallory K. Collins, Josh (Lynnsey) McAdoo and great grandchildren Cooper and Archer Collins and Molly and Karly McAdoo. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Grace Ann (Colwell) Collins in 2007; brothers Joseph in infancy and Peter Collins, sisters Jennie Collins, Theresa Galippi, Margaret Glowatski, Agnes Rehner, Anna Collins, infant sister Mary Collins and Rose Bell.
Visitation 1-6 PM Saturday in Duster Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526. A blessing service will be held at 2PM Saturday in the funeral home. Burial will be private in Our Lady of Hope Cemetery, Frazer Twp. Family suggests contributions to Knights of Columbus Bishop’s project. VISIT: DusterFH.com
