Frieda Mae Mardorf

Frieda Mae Mardorf, 98, of Brackenridge, entered eternal life Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at St. Margaret Hospital, following a brief illness. She was born October 31, 1923 in Verona, daughter of the late John and Amelia (Fassinger) Naimond. She lived most of her life in Penn Hills and Brackenridge where she was a homemaker. Frieda was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to all who knew her. She was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels, the Salvation Army and the Children’s Institute. She enjoyed puzzles, reading, walking and being outdoors. You could find her cutting grass, raking leaves, planting in her garden or feeding the birds. Frieda’s happiest times were spent with her family, especially those grand and great grandchildren. Frieda had a big kind heart and a deep faith and we take comfort knowing she is with her Lord and Savior. Frieda was a shining example of a life well lived and this world was a more loving place because she was in it.

            Survivors include her children Cynthia J. (Dwight W.) Olson, of Brackenridge, Jeffrey A. Mardorf, of McCandless Twp. and Timothy J. (Laura J. ) Mardorf, of Fawn Twp.; grandchildren Karin Olson, Kristin (Matthew) Hackworth, Courtney and Chloe Mardorf, Cory (Sarah) Mardorf, Amelia (Sean) Isadore and Michael Wright. Also surviving are 9 great grandchildren Michael Tyler, Gabrielle, Lilly, Isla, Elsie, Lillie, Lucy, Eiljah and Cora Mae. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John J. Mardorf in 1999 and 2 sisters Marie Mattes and Susan Smalley.

            Visitation 2-4 and 6-8 PM Sunday in the Duster Funeral Home, Inc. 347 E 10^th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526 where services will be held on Monday at 11 AM. Burial will follow in Prospect Cemetery, Brackenridge. VISIT: dusterfh.com
