Garen P. Tarhay

Garen P. Tarhay, 69, of Brackenridge, passed away Saturday, January 1, 2022 at home peacefully with her family by her side. She was born December 20, 1952 in Natrona Heights to the late Paul Cochran and Ethel (Baughman) Kilgore. Garen lived most of her life in the Alle Kiski Valley where she was a Human Resources Secretary at Allegheny Ludlum Steel Corp., Brackenridge for 30 years. She was of the Christian faith and attended Freeport High School but graduated from Highlands High School in 1970. Garen enjoyed dancing and especially enjoyed her family, children and grandchildren.

            Survivors include her daughter Natalie M. Thimons (Len Pierce), of Brackenridge; grandchildren Nathan and Cassandra Walters and Mason Pierce. Also surviving is her companion of 11 years, Rick Marcy, of Brackenridge; siblings Gary (Kim) Cochran, of Lower Burrell and Tammy (Jerry) Urick, of Freeport, and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a sister Rosalyn Fitzgerald.
