Genevieve E. Zelenak

Genevieve E. Zelenak, 90, formerly of Springdale, passed away Thursday, April 19, 2018 at St. Margaret Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born on December 5, 1927 in Natrona Heights to the late Justin G. and Maria H. (Ajax) Sukala, Jr. Genevieve lived most of her life in Springdale and was a case worker for PA Social Security Administration, Homewood Brushton office. She was a member of St. Scholastica Roman Catholic Church, Aspinwall. Genevieve graduated from St. Joseph High School and Duquesne University. She also was a music teacher at the former Harmarville elementary.

            Survivors include her children, Michael X. (Nancy Weeks) Zelenak, East Setauket, NY, Drs. Robert R. (Mary) Zelenak, Lima, OH, David M. (Virginia L.) Coogle, Danbury, CT and Susan (James) Wilson, Natrona Heights. Grandchildren Robert M. Zelenak, Timothy G. Zelenak, Jason J. Wilson, Dennis V. Zelenak and Caleb Z. Coogle. Also surviving is a sister Millie Krivak, Tarentum. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Michael G. Zelenak, Jr.; brothers Joseph S., Justin and Albert J. Sukala and sisters Theresa R. Pokrivka and Anna Day.

            Visitation 4-6 PM Sunday in the Duster Funeral Home, Inc. 347 E 10^th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526.
