George L. Petrikovic

George L. Petrikovic, 87, of Lower Burrell, passed away Monday, November 27, 2017 at Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights. He was born March 14, 1930 in Creighton to the late George and Helen Petrikovic. George lived most of his life in Lower Burrell and was a Metallurgic Engineer at ALCOA in New Kensington for 30 years. He was a veteran of the US Air Force and he turned down a football scholarship to the University of Maryland to join the air force. George graduated from East Deer High School and was a 5 year letterman in football. He was a member of the Astronomer’s club and enjoyed photography.             Survivors include his children Ronald L. (Kimberly) Petrikovic, Buffalo Twp., Richard Petrikovic, Springdale, Scott Petrikovic, Natrona Heights and Christine Weadock, Butler; grandchildren Amy, Cara, Candice, Levi, Lyssa and Eli. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by wife Wanda L. (Maskas) Petrikovic and brother Robert Petrikovic.             Visitation Friday from 2-4 and 6PM until the time of service at 7PM in the Duster Funeral Home, Inc. 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526.
