Gerald A. Tutelo, Jr.

Gerald A. “Jerry” Tutelo, Jr., 80, formerly of Arnold, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, January 30,2022 at Orion Personal Care Home, Allison Park. He was born October 24, 1941 in New Kensington to the late Gerald A. and Marguerite (Murar) Tutelo, Senior. Jerry lived most of his life in Arnold. He was a Project Manager in Research and Development for PPG, Springdale for 35 years. He was a member of Mt. St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, New Kensington and a former member of Butler County Treasure Hunters. Jerry graduated from Arnold High School in 1959 and as a hobby was a mechanic and driver for a race car group in Arnold. Jerry also enjoyed camping and going to the casinos. Jerry especially enjoyed spending time with his children and grandson. A special thank you to Orion Personal Care Home and Monarch Hospice for their kindness and support and love they provided.

            Survivors include his daughter Jerrilynne A. and Daniel P. Jankowski, who he considered a son, of Fawn Twp; grandson Justin D. Jankowski, of Baltimore, MD. Also surviving is a cousin, Frank (Linda) Murrin, of Lower Burrell who he considered his best friend and loved as a brother; Bob Jankowski and Linda Romanelli who were always there to care for and loved him and several cousins also survive. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his high school sweetheart and wife of 42 years Barbara A. (Kasavage) Tutelo.

            Visitation will  be 6-8 PM Friday in the Duster Funeral Home, Inc. 347 E 10^th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526. Christian Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, at 10 Am in Mt. St. Peter Church, New Kensington. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Lower Burrell. Family suggests contributions be made in memory of his mother, Marguerite to the West Penn Hospital Burn Unit.
