Glenn Leslie Harmon

Glenn Leslie Harmon, 72, formerly of Tarentum, currently of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina passed away Sunday, October 7, 2018.   He was born July 26, 1946 in Natrona Heights, Pennsylvania to the late Harry L. and Ethel Adams Harmon. In his younger years he lived in Tarentum and was a graduate of East Deer Frazer High School, Creighton.  He served in the Army, Army Reserves and National Guard.  He was recognized as an expert rifleman while serving in the Army.  He was a member of the American Legion, Post # 186, Little River, South Carolina and of the Methodist faith. Glenn was an avid Steelers and Pirates fan who enjoyed watching the games with his family and friends. He always put FAMILY FIRST and was the first one present to celebrate birthdays, holidays and other joyous occasions. 

He leaves three children, Kristin Lynn Harmon Lang of Charlotte, NC, David (and wife, Kellye) Harmon of Greenville, NC and Michele (Shelly) Harmon of Winston-Salem, NC.  He will be very missed by his two grandchildren, Morgan Lynn Harmon and Christian David Harmon. And, his former wife and mother of his children, JoAnn Bodnar Harmon. He will be sadly missed by his seven siblings, Sisters: Ethel (Sis) Waltenbaugh (Ray) of Rochester, MI; Joyce (Jim) Russell of Allison Park, PA; and Bonnie Goldberg of Natrona Heights, PA. and Brothers: Larry Harmon of Denton, TX, John (Jack) Harmon of Leland, NC; Dennis (Pat) Harmon of Ocala, FL; Randy (Mary Lou) Harmon of Powell-Butte, OR.   He also leaves many beloved nephews and nieces.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 9 am until the time of service at 11 am in the Duster Funeral Home, Inc. 347 E 10^th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526 with Rev. Gregory L. Spencer, officiating. Burial in Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights, PA. with military honors. VISIT: dusterfh.com
