Gordon C. Klingensmith

            Gordon C. Klingensmith, 63, of Creighton, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, September 14, 2023 at Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born August 1, 1960 in Oakmont, PA to the late Ernest and Naomi (Winaught) Klingensmith. Gordon has lived the past 40 years in Creighton. He was a carpenter/painter in the local area and also maintenance at Davison Inventionland in RIDC Park. He was Marine Corps veteran serving from 1979-1982 and of the Protestant faith. Gordon was a member of Springdale Sportsman Club and a 1978 graduate of Riverview High School. Gordon was an avid Pittsburgh Sports fan, enjoyed boating, skiing and golf. He also enjoyed his Mazda convertible and his Yamaha motorcycle and classic TV programs.

            Survivors include his wife of 41 years Penny L. (Hampson) Klingensmith, his children Kelly N. Klingensmith, of Creighton, Brandon C. Klingensmith, of Allentown and, G. Adam Klingensmith, of Creighton; granddaughter Haley Klingensmith, of Creighton and a sister Debbie (Herb) Covey, of Apollo. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by an infant brother Timothy.

            Visitation 2-4 and 6-8 PM Monday in Duster Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526 where services will be held on Tuesday at 11 AM. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park Lower Burrell with military honors. VISIT: DusterFH.com
