Gregory A. McClain, 68, of Mahoning Township, Armstrong County passed away at home Saturday, July 28, 2018 following a illness of one year. He was born March 4, 1950 in Natrona Heights to the late James and Esther (Snyder) McClain. Gregory has lived in Mahoning Twp the past 9 yrs, and prior to that West Deer Township. He was a painter for Eddy Mack, Jr in Natrona , and a Vietnam veteran serving in the US Army. Gregory was a born again Christian and member of Putney Field United Methodist Church, Putneyville. He was a 1968 graduate of Har Brack High School and he enjoyed sports, wrestling, Steeler football, golf and listening to his evening devotions with his wife MaryAnn.
Survivors include his wife of 27 yrs, Mary Ann M. (Neff) McClain; and a Stepson Dwayne Smith, Apollo. Also surviving are his siblings Bryan McClain, Frazer twp., Portia Gordani, Buffalo Twp., Kathy Slimick, Ford City, Susan Paz, Natrona Heights and Jenny Small, IN. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, James and Dennis McClain.
Visitation 2-4 and 6-8 PM Monday and Tuesday 9am until the time of service at 11 am in the Duster Funeral Home, Inc. 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526 with Rev. Carol E.
