Gregory L. Wells Jr., 44, of Buffalo Township, passed away peacefully with his family at his side Friday, September 3, 2021, at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born March 17, 1977, in Natrona Heights, to the late Gregory L. Wells Sr and Judith (Clark) Wells.
After graduating from Highlands High School in 1995, he went on to study to receive his bachelors and master's degrees from Duquesne University where he was recruited to play baseball.
In 2005, Gregory met his wife Kristin and married in 2008.
Greg has worked with at-risk youth most of his adult life and currently was working at the Watson Institute.
Greg was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned. He was unendingly proud of Brody, Beau, and Kristin and always tried his best to support them.
Greg was also passionate about sports (especially baseball) and could often be found on the baseball field, or the soccer field.
Anyone that knew Greg knew that he was the most loving father and husband a family could ask for.
Greg was a dedicated father first and foremost. He treasured his sons and embraced every moment with them. He especially loved his role as their baseball coach. He had an energetic personality and always made people laugh around him. He could make friends anywhere he went.
He loved family vacations and taking the boat on the river. He just loved spending time with friends and family and having a good time.
Greg is survived by his wife of 13 years, Kristin (Rigatti) Wells; his beloved sons Brody Wells and Beau Wells of Buffalo Township. Also surviving are his mother Judith (Clark) Wells of Natrona Heights, his grandmother Lois Clark, of Natrona Heights, his sister Autumn Wells of Natrona Heights and his brother Zachary Wells of Lower Burrell. Also, many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews survive. Besides his father he was preceded in death by his grandparents Joel R. “Skip” and Margaret D. (DiCaro) Wells, Joseph F. Clark, Sr. and his father-in-law and mother-in-law Joseph and Dorothy (Klingensmith) Rigatti.
