Harold F. "Butch" Lyons, Jr.

Harold F. “Butch” Lyons, Jr., 82, of Buffalo Township, passed away Friday, November 21, 2025 at Butler Memorial Hospital, following a brief illness. He was born August 10, 1943 in New Kensington to the late Harold F. and Thelma (McDowell) Lyons, Sr. Butch lived most of his life in Buffalo Township. He was a machinist for Westinghouse Corp., Cheswick and a Vietnam veteran serving in the US Air Force. Butch was a member of the Local IBEW and Tarentum Sportsman club. He graduated from Arnold High School in 1961 and enjoyed hunting, fishing, was a Pittsburgh Hockey fan and an avid aircraft enthusiast.

Survivors include his son Sean M. (Diane) Lyons, of Salisbury, MD and 2 grandchildren Ashton M. Lyons, of Salisbury, MD and Michael J. (Jessica) Jump, of Springfield, VA. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Susan Irene (Simpson) Lyons in 2013 and a sister Joyce A. Lyons.
