Harry Levish, 95 formerly of Brackenridge passed away Wed,Sept 20,2017 at Fair Winds Manor Nursing Home,Winfield Twp. Born April 9,1922 in Brackenridge a son of the late Joseph & Evdokia Levish ,Harry was a lifelong resident of Brackenridge and a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Byzantine Church of Tarentum. Harry Was a veteran of the Army during WW#2 ,fighting in North Africa,Normandy,Italy,and Germany. Harry was retired from PPG Paints in Springdal in 1986. He was a member of Brackenridge American Legion,a life member of Pioneer Hose Co,Brackenridge and a graduate of Har-Brack High school 1940. Harry enjoyed Hunting,fishing,and his camp in Warren County. He is survived by his children,Gregory J. (Sue) Levish of Buffalo Twp, Paul A. (Marsha) Levish New Kensington,twins Joseph M. (Christy) Levish ,Buffalo Twp, and Mary M. (Mario) Venetos), Belair,MD, his son in law William McNally, Plano Tx, Also 9 Grandchildren,and 10 Great Grandchildren.A step brother Leo (Betty) Wasilowski,Natrona Heights,and his sister in law Rose Demharter,Brackenridge. Besides his parents Mr. Levish was preceded in death by his Wife Pauline J. (Skoda) Levish in 2006, his daughter Carolyn McNally, and 2 brothers, Max and William Levish.Also a sister Alice Samay,and a step sister Irene Dassonville. Visitation will be Fri Sept 22 from 2-4 PM to 6-8 PM in the Duster Funeral Home,Inc. 347 East 10th Ave,Tarentum,Pa.15084 (724) 224-1526 where a Panachida will be celebrated Sat at 9:30 AM followed by Divine Liturgy at 10 AM in Sts.Peter & Paul Church with his pastor,Rev. Wesley M. Mash officiating.Burial will follow in Mt. Airy Cemetery with Military Honors.Contributions may be made to Sts. Peter & Paul Church. Pioneer Hose Co. will friday at 6:30 PM in Funeral Home,and a Parastas will be recited at 7:00 PM in Funeral Home.
