Helen M. Fajbik, 97, of Tarentum, passed away Monday, December 21, 2020 at Belair Health and Rehabilitation Center in Lower Burrell. She was born August 22, 1923 in Springdale, a daughter of the late Paul Sr. and Vencentia (Pavulec) Fajbik. After graduating from East Deer High School, she took care of her father and younger siblings. After her father passed, she worked at the Hat and Cap Factory in Tarentum. She was a member of Holy Martyrs Church and well as Jednota Lodge in Tarentum. She enjoyed cooking and watching television. The family would like to thank the staff at Beliar for their excellent care over the last four years.
Survivors include her brother Frank (Joan) Fajbik and sister-in-law Theresa Fajbik, both of Lower Burrell. She is also survived by her nephew Richard Palchinsky who was her caregiver for a number of years and numerous nephews and nieces. Helen was preceded in death by her brothers Paul Jr., Joseph and Richard and by her sister’s Mary Koricansky, Ann Palchinsky, Margaret Dunbar and Emily Heinrichs.
