Honoren Elizabeth Sowers

Honoren Elizabeth Sowers,92 of Erie, formerly of Blawnox and Fawn Twp ,passed away Friday, December 13,2024 in Erie, Pa. She was born November 20, 1932 in New Kensington, a daughter of the late John and Margaret (Conway) George.

Elizabeth was raised in Springdale, and lived most of her life in Erie, and Blawnox. She was a homemaker, but had also retired from Glenshaw glass. Elizabeth attended Springdale High School, and was of the Lutheran faith. 

Elizabeth enjoyed spending time with her family, children, grandchildren ,and great children. She is survived by her children, Walter W. (Rebecca) Sowers, Jr. , Fawn Twp, David (Cindy) Sowers, and Terrie Sowers, both of Erie, 5 grandchildren, Chad, Brian, Chris, Amanda ,and Heather, and Eleven Great grandchildren. Her siblings, Phyllis ( Marshall) Truax, Springdale, Donna ( Raymond) Alcorn, Cheswick, and Charles George, of Florida. 

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Walter W. “Whitey” Sowers, Sr., a brother, John George, and two sisters, Mary Shoop, and Sharon Konesky.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 18 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM,and Thursday from 10:00 AM until the Service at 11:00 AM in the Duster Funeral & Cremation Services,Inc. 347 East 10th Avenue, Tarentum 724-224-1526.Officiating will be The Reverand Jeffrey A.
