James T. Barclay, Jr.

James T. Barclay, Jr., 88, formerly of Tarentum, passed away Sunday, June 13, 2021 at Cheswick Rehabilitation and Wellness Center. He was born February 10, 1933 in Brackenridge to the late James T. and Kate (Mulrooney) Barclay, Sr. James lived most of his life in Tarentum, Natrona Heights and New Kensington. He was a Medical Technologist at West Penn Hospital and other hospitals for 25 years. He was a Staff Sergeant in the US Air Force during the Korean Era and a US Army Reservist. James was a member of Guardian Angels Parish, Holy Martyrs Worship Site . He graduated in 1951 from Har Brack High School and earned an Associate’s Degree from Community College of Allegheny County.

            Survivors include his children Robert J. (Kimberly) Barclay, of Buffalo Mills, PA, Barbara L. Naydeck, of Hutto, TX, James T. Barclay, III, of Pittsburgh, Stephen G. (Melissa) Barclay, of Jefferson Hills, Susan M. Sollenberger, of Greeley, CO, Kate E. “Kitty”(Charles) Pacek, of Natrona Heights and Martin E. (Lorraine) Barclay, of Aliquippa. Also surviving are 23 grandchildren and numerous great and great great grandchildren. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Joan R. (Mittereder) Barclay in 2011; sons Patrick, John and infant son Lawrence Barclay, grandson James Barclay, IV; brother Robert Barclay and sister Mary Orrill.

            A private family visitation and blessing service was held Wednesday in the Duster Funeral Home, Inc. 347E 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526. Burial was private in Our Lady of Hope Cemetery, Frazer Twp. VISIT: dusterfh.com
