James H. Duffey

James H. Duffey, 88 of Brackenridge, passed away peacefully on Sat, April 21, 2018 at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born May 9, 1929 in Brackenridge a son of the late Otis and Lessie (Weaver) Duffey. James was a lifelong member of Shiloh Baptist Church, Brackenridge and a 1945 graduate of Har Brack High School, Natrona Heights. James was married to Betty Duffey for 32 years and was a conductor on the railroad at Allegheny Ludlum Steel Corp., Brackenridge for over 40 years before he retired at age 62.  He loved fishing, traveling and spending time with his family and friends.  

 James is survived by his children Donna M. (Melvyn) Smith of New Kensington, Earl M. (Kate) Duffey Natrona Heights, and Denise L. (Grady) Frazier South Bend, IN. Five grandchildren Chad (Sabena) Duffey, Tracy (Manuel) Smith-Regus, Misty (William) Grimage and Desiree and Ashley Frazier; 10 great grandchildren Logan Rose, Manuel Jr. and Marco Regis, Corenna and Naiya Duffey, William, Noah and Noelle Grimage and Elijah and Deidre Frazier.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lou (Brooks) Duffey, a daughter Sandra K. Duffey in infancy, his siblings John Duffey, Betty Duffey and Helen Whitman.

Family will receive friends  Tues, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM in the Duster Funeral Home,Inc. 347 East 10^th Avenue, Tarentum 15084 (724) 224-1526. Services will be conducted Wed at 1:00 PM in Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, New Kensington with Rev. Edward C. Carter and Rev. Toni Perkins, officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. Entombment in Mt. Airy Mausoleum, Natrona Heights.
