James A. Gohn, Sr.

James A. Gohn, Sr., 77 of Kittanning, passed away Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Allegheny Valley Hospital after being ill the past year. He was born March 25, 1941 in Natrona Heights to the late William and Laura (Swartzlander) Gohn, Sr. James lived the past 3 years in Kittanning and prior to that most of his life in the Apollo area. He was a truck driver for several local trucking companies. James was of the Protestant faith and enjoyed stock car racing and was a Pittsburgh sports fan.

            Survivors include his wife Linda (Walters) Gohn, Spring Church; children James (Darlene) Gohn, Jr., Cadogan, Elizabeth Arlene Slobogian, Natrona Heights, Cynthia Gohn, Spring Church, Melissa Jo (Michael) Faulkner, Natrona Heights, Richard (Jennifer) Gohn, Shelocta, Brian (Lacy) Gohn, Elderton; grandchildren Tara (Joe) Hotalski, Kayla (Marc) Luisi, David and Lacy  Slobogian, Beth Dunn, Karena Gohn, Carl “Buddy” Laird, Michael and Kaitlynn Faulkner, Hannah, Collin, James and Issiah Gohn, Justin, Isabella and Addison Gohn and 9 great grandchildren; sister Arlene Hoak, Ravenna, OH. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter Brenda Lee Gohn; Brothers William “Shorty”, Leroy and Robert Gohn and Sister Virginia Beam.
