James J. "Jimmie" Greco, Sr.

James J. “Jimmie” Greco, Sr. 79, of Buffalo Township, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, September 29, 2022. He was born August 27, 1943 in Harrison Twp., to the late Fred T. and Corina T. (Gubbiotti) Greco. Jimmie lived the past 50 years in Buffalo Township. He was the Owner/Operator of Greco Steel in Springdale since 1963.  Jimmie loved flying his airplane and riding his Harley Davidson. He was a member of AOPA, Aircraft Owner and Pilot Association, EAA, Experimental Aircraft Association and was a former member of ISDA, Italian Sons & Daughters of America in Brackenridge. He was a graduate of East Deer High School. Jimmie had a strong faith and passed his love of the Lord on to his family.

            Survivors include his wife of 60 years Barbara Ann “Bobbi” (Stuckey) Greco; his sons James J. Greco, II, of Buffalo Twp., Nicholas T. (Melina Valenzuela) Greco, of Lake Worth, FL and Charles L. (Laura J. Lucot) Greco, of Buffalo Township; grandchildren Anthony J. Greco, Nina M. Greco, Emily J. (Joel) Caporali, Courtney L. Greco, Anna E. Greco, Charles J. “C.J.” Greco and Samuel N. Greco and his great grandchildren Jayden and Amiha Greco and Gianni Caporali. Also surviving is a sister Molly Watterson, of East Deer Twp. and a sister-in-law Nancy Greco, of St, Louis, MO. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Fred Greco and a brother-in-law Jim Watterson. 

            Visitation 6-8 PM Saturday and Sunday 2-4 and 6-8 PM in the Duster Funeral Home, Inc., 347 E 10^th Ave, Tarentum where services will be held on Monday at 10 AM with Rev. John P. Kuert, Sr., officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights. VISIT: dusterfh.com
