James F. Lydon, 80, of Natrona Heights, passed away at home on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 following a brief illness. He was born September 9, 1945 in Pittsburgh to the late Martin and Loretta Lydon. James has lived the past 25 years in Natrona Heights and prior to that Pittsburgh. He was a Mechanic/Supervisor for Rudy Molnar Service Station for 40 years. James was of the Christian faith and a member of N.H.R.A.; and an avid race car driver. He graduated from Peabody High School. James was a muscle car collector and drag racing was his passion.
Survivors include his life partner, Patricia A. Sloane; beloved daughter Melissa (Scott) Gregg, of Sparta, NJ. Also surviving are beloved grandson Max and beloved nephew Jan Cavacini, of Shaler Township. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Martin Lydon and sister Pat Cavacini.
Visitation 1-3 and 4-7 PM Sunday in Duster Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526. Services will be held on Sunday at 5PM with Rev. Robert D. Dayton, officiating.
