James H. Silliman, 64, of Tarentum, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, February 20, 2025 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born July 29, 1960 in Harrison Township to the late Howard D. and Betty (Clark) Silliman. James lived all of his life in Tarentum. He worked construction for a local contractor for a number of years. James was of the catholic faith and a graduate of Highlands High School. He really enjoyed fishing, his family vacations to Lake Erie and especially spending time with his granddaughter. As Raelyn said Pappy “Slim Jim” will never be forgotten.
Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Colleen M. (O’Brien) Silliman; his children James H. (Natasha J.) Silliman, Jr., of Tarentum and Amy M. Dick, of Beaver, PA; grandchildren Raelyn Sipe and Kaylee Dick. Also surviving is his brother Mark Silliman, of Tarentum; nieces and nephews Jeremiah Silliman (Desirina), Thomas “Tommy” (Brittany) Silliman and Danielle Silliman. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Thomas Silliman.
