Jean Antonia Chieruzzi, 95, of West Tarentum, passed away peacefully at her home Sunday, March 20, 2022. Born February 28, 1927 in Freeport to the late Angelo and Maria (Avalli) Rivi and was the wife of the late Renato “Reno” Chieruzzi, who died in March 2014. Jean lived most of her life in West Tarentum and was a graduate of Freeport High School. She was a member of Guardian Angels Parish, Holy Martyrs Church, West Tarentum. She was a telephone operator in Freeport prior to becoming a homemaker. Jean enjoyed gardening, watching EWTN, the Hallmark Channel and several comedy sitcoms. She especially enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and her cat, Callie Girl.
Mrs. Chieruzzi is the mother of Paula A. (Francis) Ahking, of East Hartford, CT, Carol (Michael) Yacko, of Lower Burrell, Alice (Dewey) Heidelberg, of Petal, MS, Andrea Chieruzzi, of Tarentum and Daniel Chieruzzi, of Brackenridge. Jean had 6 grandchildren, Eric (Terrie) Yacko, of Johnstown, Mark Yacko, of Penn Twp., Jeffrey Ahking, of Brooklyn, NY, Laura Ahking, of West Hartford, CT, Nicholas Chieruzzi, of Brackenridge and Jill Chieruzzi, of Brentwood; two great grandchildren Jonathan and Michael Yacko. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, The Rev. Geno Rivi, Angelo Rivi, Stanley Rive, Louise Regoli and Rose Mary Cardone.
Visitation Wednesday 6-8 PM in the Duster Funeral Home, Inc. 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526. Christian funeral mass will be conducted Thursday at 10AM in Holy Martyrs Church, Tarentum. Burial in Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights. VISIT: dusterfh.com
