Jeanne L. Pitkavish, 75, of Brackenridge, passed Tuesday, April 26, 2022 of heart failure. She was born December 26, 1946 in Natrona Heights to the late Francis and Betty (Bryan) Duffy. Jeanne lived her entire life in the area. She was a secretary and also worked the polls at Hilltop Hose and Walmart at the Pittsburgh Mills and PPG, RIDC park. Jeanne was a member of Guardian Angels Parish, Most Blessed Sacrament Church Natrona Heights, New Kensington Civic theater, volunteered at the Hope Center and the Salvation Army Board. She graduated from Har Brack High School in 1964 and New Kensington Commercial School. Jeanne was very proud of her Irish heritage and enjoyed her trips to Ireland and many trips to the casinos with her cousin Patty and she was proud to be an organ donor.
Survivors include her siblings, Patrick (Eyvonne) Duffy, of Tarentum, Peggy Ann (Joel) Helgert, of Natrona Heights, Timothy Duffy, of Natrona heights and Doreen (Jeffrey) Collins, of Brackenridge. Also surviving are her nieces and nephews Shawn (Stacie) Duffy, of West Deer Twp., Michael (Camilla) Duffy, of Lower Burrell, Emily Collins (Chris Nycz) of Natrona Heights and Erin Rose Collins, of Natrona Heights and numerous great nieces and nephews survive. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband John C. Pitkavish in 2013 and brother Terry Duffy in 1976.
Visitation Thursday, April 28,2022 from 3-7 PM in the Duster Funeral Home, Inc. 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526. Christian funeral mass will be celebrated Friday at 10 am in Most Blessed Sacrament Church, Natrona Heights. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell. VISIT: dusterfh.com
