Jerry M. Rupert, 78, of Lower Burrell and formerly of Plum Boro, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, December 3, 2022 at Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights. He was born May 25, 1944 in Plum to the late Wallace and Elizabeth (Hanus) Rupert. Jerry lived most of his life in Plum Boro and since July in Lower Burrell. He was a laborer for 30 years at the former Edgewater Steel in Oakmont. He also did landscape and was a general handy man. Jerry was a member of Oakmont Presbyterian Church. He was a former member of the Chieftan Archery club and competed in archery tournaments. He graduated from Plum High School and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He rode 150-mile bicycle ride for MS, he did this charity ride for 20 years.
Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Mary Ann (Fedorka) Rupert; his children Dana Rupert, of Charlotte, NC, Rochelle Rupert, of Natrona Heights and Heather (Mark) Burek, of West Deer Twp., step son Robert W. Kelly, Jr. (Kelly McCreary), of Gibsonia and step daughter Bethany L. (Mark) Glogowski, of Upper Burrell. Grandchildren Nicole (Brandon) Giebel, Melissa (Ryan) Shiring, Brayden Burek, Gillian Glogowski, Maxx Kelly, Wyatt Glogowski and great grandson Grayson Giebel. Also surviving is a sister Rosemary Bettikofer, of WA. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Ronald Rupert.
