Joan H. Krofchik

Joan H. Krofchik, 75, of Lower Burrell, passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at Highland Park Care Center, following a lengthy illness. She was born November 17, 1942 in Natrona Heights to the late Joseph and Anna (Salada) Krofchik. Joan lived the past 11 years in Lower Burrell and prior to that Natrona Heights and New Kensington. She was a homemaker and a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, Tarentum. Joan graduated in 1960 from Har Brack High School and enjoyed reading. She especially enjoyed spending time with her son and grandson.             Survivors include her son Mark A. (Sherri P.) Krofchik, Fox Chapel, grandson William M. Krofchik, Fox Chapel; her siblings Rose Ann Krofchik, Tarentum, Marlene (Clifford) Campen, Plum Boro and Joseph E. Krofchik, Lower Burrell.             Visitation 5-8 PM Friday in the Duster Funeral Home, Inc. 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526  where a  Parastas will be celebrated 7PM.             A Panachida will be conducted at 9:30 am Saturday in the funeral home, followed by Divine Liturgy at 10 AM in Sts. Peter & Paul Church, Tarentum, with Rev. Wesley M. Mash, officiating. Burial in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell. VISIT: dusterfh.com
