John A. Brashear

          John A. Brashear, 87, of Fawn Township, passed away at home on Monday, May 8, 2023. He was born December 19, 1935 in Brackenridge to the late John E. and Ethel M. (Bryan) Brashear. John lived most of his life in Fawn Township and was employed at UNISYS Computing, Pittsburgh as a computer programmer for 32 years.  He was a veteran of the US Air Force and a 1953 graduate of Tarentum High School. John enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and traveling. He especially enjoyed his family, children and grandchildren.

            Survivors include his wife of 66 years Alice M. (Bauer) Brashear; his sons Mark E. (Marla B.) Brashear, of Gibsonia and James J. (Dawn) Brashear, of Fairbanks, Alaska; grandchildren Jake, Jessica (Oren) Barat, Joshua and Josey Brashear and Evan and Katie Brashear. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Lynn Rossi.

            Visitation 2-4 & 5-7 PM Thursday in Duster Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. 347E 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526. Burial will be in Prospect Cemetery, Brackenridge with military honors by the USAF. VISIT: dusterfh.com
