John J. Bialas, 61, of Frazer Township, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, May 27, 2021. He was born April 16, 1960 in Harrison Township to the late John E. and Virginia R. (Bednar) Bialas. John has lived the past 12 years in Frazer Twp. and prior to that Tarentum. He was employed in general maintenance for PPG Industries in Creighton for 30 years, retiring in 2018. John was of the Catholic faith and a social member of Brackenridge American Legion. He graduated in 1978 from Deer Lakes High School and from Pittsburgh Technical Institute. John enjoyed fishing, gardening, the Pirates and Steelers. He especially loved spending time with his grandson.
Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Sheryl A. (Dolby) Bialas; his three children Emily (Eric) Shaffer, of O’Hara Township, Nathan Bialas, of Brooklyn, NY and Sarah Bialas and Chandler Lindgren, of Lower Burrell; grandson Cayde Shaffer. Also surviving are his siblings Barbara Bialas, of Frazer Township and Timothy (Lisa) Bialas, of Tarentum, and a niece Amanda Bialas, of Tarentum.
