John P. Burdick

John P. Burdick, 71, of Springdale, passed away Friday, February 11, 2022 at Platinum Ridge Nursing Home, Brackenridge. He was born December 11, 1950 in Terre Haute, Indiana to the late Bernerd and Dorothy Burdick. John lived the past 30 years in the AK Valley and was of the Catholic faith. He was a steel laborer in construction for many years and a member of the Krivian Hall, Springdale. John was a Notre Dame football fan, and a teller of tall tales and was known for the octopus dance.

            Survivors include his children, Kaley (Kasey) Lewis, of Punta Gorda, FL, Mary Kathryne Tegethoff, of Pittsburgh and Madeline Burdick, of Youngstown, OH; 5 grandchildren. Also surviving are his siblings, Rosemary Krieble, Linda Lambert, James Burdick and Joseph Burdick, all of Indiana, Margaret Clifton, of OH and  Jane Burdick, of FL. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Ben Burdick and a sister Dolores Abel.
