John E. Dethample

John E. Dethample, 67, of Tarentum, passed away at home Thursday, August 30, 2018 after being ill the past year. He was born April 2, 1951 in Harrison Twp., to the late Arthur H. and Eleanor J. (Rosselle) Dethample. He lived the past 34 years in Tarentum and prior to that Leechburg. John was an inspector for Allegheny Ludlum Steel Corp., Vandergrift for 30 years before retiring in 2003. He was a member of Hebron Lutheran Church, Leechburg and a social member of Tarentum Eagles and Eagle riders. John graduated in 1969 from Leechburg High School. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed riding his motorcycle.

            Survivors include his wife of 4 years Amy L. (Schake) Dethample; daughters Stephanie R. Dethample, Tarentum and Molly V. Dethample, Leechburg; step children Mark S. Brubaker, Brackenridge, Timothy S. Brubaker, MI, Robert S. Brubaker, Tarentum, Amy B.(Richard) Crawford , Natrona Heights and Cheyenne May, at home. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren. Besides parents he was preceded in death by his 2^nd wife Karen M. (Finley) Dethample in 2003.

            Visitation 2-4 and 6-8 PM Sunday in the Duster Funeral Home, Inc. 347 E 10^th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526 where services will be held on TUESDAY at 11:30 AM with Rev. Ryan N. Bush and Rev. James Arter, officiating. Burial in Prospect Cemetery, Brackenridge. Tarentum Eagles will hold services in the FH Sun at 6:30 followed by the Eagle Riders.
