John Lindgren, 74, of East Deer Twp., passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at Forbes Regional Hospital, Monroeville. He was born April 12, 1949 in Harrison Township to the late John and Regina (Kaminsky) Lindgren. John lived most of his life in Saxonburg and East Deer Township. He was a crane operator at Edgewater Steel, Oakmont for 29 years. He was a veteran of the US Army and a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Parish, Russellton. He was a 1967 graduate of Tarentum High School and enjoyed bird watching. John was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates and Penguins fan.
Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Joyce E. (McIntyre) Lindgren; daughter Erika Lindgren, of South Hills and son Thomas (Jennifer) Lindgren, of Ambridge; step children Rachelle (Chad) Holt, of Butler and Krista Volle (Dan Sauers), of Russellton. Also surviving is his sister Mary Lou Zaffutto, of Apollo. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Thomas D. Lindgren and a step son Dennis W. Heatherman, Jr.
