John Yacko

June 29, 1956 — August 30, 2021

John Yacko, 65, of Leechburg, passed away Monday, August 30, 2021 at Bel Air Nursing & Rehab in Lower Burrell. He was born June 29, 1956 in Rochester, PA to the late Michael and Irene B. (Babcoff) Yacko, Sr. John lived most of his life in Lower Burrell and worked as a general laborer for Northco in RIDC park for a number of years. He was of the Christian faith and enjoyed Bible study. John also enjoyed family events, picnics in the park, walks, bowling, basketball, parties, swimming, dancing, animals and TV sports. John also enjoyed living in his group home on Williams Rd in Leechburg. He loved all his friends and the staff that cared for him.

            Survivors include his sisters Kathrene I. (John) Brenchak, of Penn Hills and Irene Jean Yacko, of New Hampshire and sister in law Carol Yacko, of Lower Burrell. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers Stephen and Michael Yacko.

            Visitation Thursday 4PM until the time of service at 6:30 PM in the Duster Funeral Home, Inc. 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526 with Pastor John Pisarek, of Manor Bible Fellowship, officiating. Gathering Friday from 9 am until the burial at 10 am in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.  VISIT: dusterfh.com
