Johnny D. Newton

 Johnny D. Newton, 65, of Tarentum passed away at his home on June 13, 2024. He was born June 17, 1958 in Nampa, Idaho to Burgess Newton and the late Carolyn (Burns) Newton. Johnny resided in Frazer Township the past 5 years, and prior to that Florida. He was of Mormon faith and worked as a self-employed carpenter. Johnny was particularly proud of his time spent in the National Guard and in his free time enjoyed fishing, camping, and gardening.

 Besides his father, survivors include his daughters Felicity Burns and Amanda (Gordon) Crane of Idaho, sons Tyler, Jordan, and Gerry R.W. Newton of Idaho, sister Nedith Snowden of Missouri, and brothers Tim Newton of Oregon and Ron Newton of Caldwell, Idaho. Also surviving are his former wife Kay Halcom of Ohio, 7 grandchildren, 1 great-granddaughter, and many loving nieces and nephews. Johnny was preceded in death by his partner Dyanne Taylor in 2022.
