Joseph W. Homolek, 87, of Buffalo Twp., passed away Sunday, December 17, 2023 at Concordia at Rebecca Residence, Allison Park. He was born October 18, 1936 in Tarentum to the late Michael G. and Anna (Besaha) Homolek. Joseph lived most of his life in Frazer Twp. and Buffalo Township the past 55 years. He was a technician, specializing in Air Conditioning for the Port Authority of Allegheny County PAT Transit, working on buses for 25 years. Joseph was a veteran of the US Air Force serving in the Korean era. He was a member of Guardian Angels Parish, Most Blessed Sacrament Campus, Natrona Heights, Natrona Heights VFW and the Amalgamated Transit Union. Joseph graduated East Deer High School and enjoyed cars, trucks, gardening and especially enjoyed car shows.
Survivors include his children, Joseph J. Homolek, of Allegheny Twp. and daughter Jeannine L. (Stephen) Carter, of Mt. Lebanon. Also surviving is a brother Thomas M. (Christine) Homolek, of Natrona Heights. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Florence (Jubeck) Homolek, May 25,2020.
Visitation 4-7 PM Wednesday in Duster Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-24-1526. Christian funeral mass will be celebrated Thursday at 10 AM in Guardian Angels Parish, Most Blessed Sacrament Campus, Natrona Heights. Burial will be in Our Lady of Hope Cemetery, Frazer Twp.
