Josephine Licata, 92 of Arnold passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at Platinum Ridge Nursing Home, Brackenridge. She was born February 15, 1925 in Indiana Co, Pa to the late Charles and Margaret (Commaratta) Zaffuto. Josephine spent her entire life in Arnold where she was a home maker and a member of Mt. St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in New Kensington. She was also a member of the New Kensington Eagles. Josephine enjoyed dancing, cooking, baking, and especially enjoyed spending time with her family, children, and grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 70 years, Joseph Licata; her children Anthony “Tony” (Marlene) Licata of Plum Boro, Michele (Bruce) Armstrong of Winchester, VA. Grandchildren, Chad (Katrina) Armstrong of Hay Market, VA, Megan Armstrong of Winchester, VA, Tara (Tim) Marman of Cranberry Twp., Dina Licata of Pittsburgh. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by 3 brothers Phillip, Tony and Charles Zaffuto and a sister Stella D’Amico.
Visitation 2-4 and 6-8 PM Thursday in the Duster Funeral Home, Inc. 347 East 10th Ave, Tarentum 15084, (724) 224-1526 where Prayers of Transfer will be Friday at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Christian Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Mt. St. Peters Church, New Kensington with Monsignor Michael J. Begolly her pastor officiating. Interment will be at Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell. Visit us at dusterfh.com
